CICe

CIC energiGUNE is a research centre devoted to the improvement of industry competitiveness and sustainable development, from a benchmark position in energy research, generating disruptive knowledge in materials and high-tech solutions. CIC energiGUNE, located in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque County, Spain) was born in 2011 as a strategic initiative of the Basque Government, and nowadays, it is a member of BRTA (Basque Research & Technology Alliance).

In this project, CIC energiGUNE leads the construction and validation of the digital twin of the heat & electricity production plant. This will be achieved by a professional team in identifying heat transfer mechanisms, systems performance through fluidynamics (CFD), and system modelling, oriented to improve the energy efficiency of processes and products. Finally, CIC energiGUNE will apply its longstanding experience in EU projects for the overall coordination of LIFE HI4S.
